About the author:

Rose Fournier is a designer and a writer. Born in Paris and brought up in the exuberance of hosting and entertaining, she developed her talent for the art of the table from family traditions. Her shared passions for decorating, cooking, and traveling impart constant creativity and culinary variety into her settings, which she creates with efficacy and simplicity. 

Yves Duronsoy was born in Paris. A self-taught photographer, he began his career as a photojournalist, shooting in black and white. His interests include fashion and portrait photography, decorating, and art de vivre—always with a desire to “convey a look without pretense.” He has collaborated on numerous fashion and decorating magazines and has photographed for brands including Habitat, Hermès, and Baccarat, as well as Le Bon Marché and Printemps department stores. He has also contributed to several books on photography and the art of living. The use of natural light and the desire to capture the mood of a moment are the driving forces behind his photography.
